Will always be a classic and the movie that got me into zombies. This was actually filmed in Evans City, Pa in a grave yard there where I've been many times. I practically grew up in Evans City and am proud to say that they filmed this movie there! 8/10
This is the true original zombie film. Sucha timeless classic too. On a personal note.. I met the tv reporter from this movie. In the movie he is Bill Cardill, and in real life he is also Bill Cardill, but most know him as Chilli Billy. He hosted a Pittsburgh horror movie show. He has since been on radio in Pittsburgh for many years. I met him visiting his station when I was visiting my old boss from a station I work at now. I'm sure no one cares about this.. so why did I type it? I have no idea. lol. Great movie though!
A classic, capitalizing cinematographically from B&W purely by accident due to the restrainted film budget, Romero's creation has captivated audience's world wide. This and the fact Walter Reade never copyrighted the film in 1968 has maded it the 2nd most downloaded public domain film on the internet.. 5/5
You I'm 18 and i say this movie when i was like 7 this was the 1st zombie movie i have ever seen and when i watched this i was hooked. i like all the people that were picked 4 this movie Excellent.. 50/20(Stars)
I am not a fan of zombie movies, but this is very twisted and disgusting. I had no idea zombies eat flesh. This must have been a very scary movie to watch in the 60s. It didn't scary much now, but I think it is a classic, yes I agree! Oh my god, the end is such an epic! Totally crazy man!
yes this is just that both the black and white and the remake with my man tony todd(candyman). you cant be a fan of zombie flicks if you havent seen a ramero film and i suggest watching them all(night,dawn,day) you can skip diary and land but if you must check them out to, as for Night Of The Living Dead.

the original started my love for the ganre both are equaly good in there own right good acting direction cinimatography fx are little more up to date in the remake both are playlist material and definatly a must watch for fans of zombie films and fans of horror these films will stand up to time ans are worthy of multiple viewings wich cant be said for many movies the plot is set so you become emersed into the film almost seeming as if you were there making for a wonderful balievable experience if you havent seen these yet and are a zombie fan i can highly recomend you watch these and that you wont be dissapointed i wish more of this caliber will come out gotta love these films :)
classic i love this movie not just because it one of the first great zombie flick because the black lasted to the end now a days the black guys always one of the first to go
Both versions are well worth watching.
The original (1968) is an instant classic..this is where all the brilliance stemmed from.
The 1990 version is also very good; it's a very accurate remake, and, as is expected of anything Tom Savini is involved in, has some nice makeup effects. Tony Todd (Candyman) is fantastic in this one.
i prefer it in coloiur but thats probs because i got the colour version on dvd in the uk before i saw this version. i have to say though i definately prefer day of the dead. was a lot more dark and well i duno it just had that great zombie atmosphere that zombie films lack nowadays

iff they can make this kind of zombie movie back then you will think they can do a better job in the present..Most zombie movies today stink i like the big
blockbuster one's. like Day of the death, Land of the death, The signal or even I am legend. Quality zombie movies. 28 weeks later or 28 days later does movies are awesome.
I remember not being able to sleep after seeing this as a kid, not to mention mentally planning a hideout plan in my attic. :) I've actually seen a show about the making of this film, and it was done for reallyy cheap, even for then. It was just a few guys screwing around mostly, and they were never expecting it to become what it did.
