i put this movie off for a while actully till it came out on dvd just because i normally do not like space movies but this one did me in just the whole way the movie was put together i thought was very good i may actully have to watch it again just try and figure out everything i missed all in all a very good movie 8 stars out of 10 a must watch and buy at least to me
I can't believe some people didn't like this film.. I've been waiting to see this and have put it on hold for awhile bc of all the bad reviews.. but this movie was freakin AWESOME!! I loved it!! Def have to buy this on dvd!
entertaining space horror, with a few ideas from Decent, Event Horizon and Alien, however, very well made, good story construction by keeping everyone in the dark as to whats happening, yet keeping you interested, moving at a great pace with action ,drama and likable characters you cared about

the fact that they were under sea was a nice twist with the positive ending
I didn't like Event Horizon when i saw it in the theater 11 years ago now because a reviewer called it Hellraiser in space. The movie never ever(even now) got to the level of spooky town chills that the so-called reviewer was harking about. That being said this movie surprised me. I was certain i had an idea where it was going, the movie does borrow some stuff but with all do respect it takes elements from those movies and makes them better.
The movie has central mysteries that are not explored till the final half making for some unusual moments of reflection come 70 minutes in. What year is it? Where is the ship? Who are the bad guys and how did they become? Who is the main bad guy? Are all questions the viewer will forget to ask until he is smacked in the face some 80 minutes into the movie. I have to admit this movie had me slapping my knee a couple times.
The speed at which the bad guys move will have your sides splitting And the logic of a certain cannibal( " Funny thing about survival... There's not much left to live for..." ) is a hoot.
The beggining of the movie is slow but halfway through I thought i was in the middle of a galactic war movie/horror/psychological drama/ religious/action adventure.. Done as if this were the final film ever made.
When a cast and crew work this hard you have to give them credit.
Watched this one today for the second time, I think one of the better sci-fi thrillers of 2009, amazing sets and f/x also smart storyline with that surprising twist and the end. Those mutant creatures were really menacing looking too. A must see !!
Ok I think people who review some of these movies are on Crack! this movie was Hardcord, good tech not so spaced out and overly complicated that normal people cant understand it. I personally think they should have made the transmission a lie so that they think their the last of the race left, so in turn they wont make the same mistakes those of us who are home bound did to mother
for what it was it was well done, good acting, ok story, creepy effects, crazy direction, and a nice twisted ending, I did feel it dragged at times though so 7/10
I love movies that make you think, that was the best part of this movie! I wish they had more back story, and character past as well, but all in all it was pretty good!
This was a pretty good movie!
It was going though, keeping my attention. and at the end, BAM! It ended real quick, and with some questions that were unanswered.
Overall - 4/5.
A great movie. A bit off the beaten track but all the better for it. Great sets and super bad baddies. If your a si-fi fan you will not be left wanting. A future classic me thinks. 9/10
