I watched this abomination just to have the knowledge to set people who think it's scary straight. Seriously if you thought this was scary you must be scared of your own shadow. The only scary thing is the fact that getting into a relationship with someone like that whining complaining girl would be a nightmare. This movie is god awful, and is certainly one of the worst I have ever seen, and believe me people I have seen a lot of crappy movies. Jack Frost 1 and 2 were better movies than this, and also more scary if that tells you how horrible this is! 0/5
What i dont get is.. if the idea is to make the audience believe its a real recording, why make another ending? Anyways, these things do happend. Look up on youtube - ABC news on exorcism - there is a very similar story.
ok well it's almost the same movie i can't remember the name of and i did watch it on here but it has a guy his mom and sister in it and it's taped and the ppl. are called and what not boring but having seen this and GHI TAPS and feeling ghost in a friends home how much of it is true?? .. and whats with the evil rummble before things happen??lol 2/5 ..

i would say that 90% of the bad comments about this film were from people who watched it online..if you want to experience the full effect of the film you had to watch it in the cinema
It doesn't matter if you saw this in the theater or on dvd, the fact of the matter remains the same. THIS MOVIE SUCKED!!
There is a total of 16seconds of action in this movie (if you don't believe me then watch it again and count it out) and ten of those happen at the VERY END of the movie.
Just skip to the last 10 seconds of the movie, and you will have seen the only scary part and the only part worth watching.
The only praise I can give this dribble is the fact that I was ROTL when it pulled her down the hall.
Why the hell they stayed after that is beyond me, and they deserved what they got just for being stupid and not leaving.
I had a feeling this movie was going to be a waste of money to watch in theaters. I was smart and didn't do it :)
This movie was an epic fail. Yeah there were some shocking parts, but wtf? Why didn't they stick to the whole "based on a true story" theory instead of making 3 lame alternate endings. I hated it. Paranormal Activity 2 could burn in hell.
This movie was nothing but lame. Creepy?.. No Scary?.. No, what was it you ask? it was lame, dont waste your time. Unless you like movies that a door moves or you hear foot steps, and people are like oo im scared! o yeah but that one 30 sec part was freaky !! Na not really. I really wanted to see this movie and im so glad i didnt leave my chair to see it, and really glad i didnt pay to watch it. 100% A$$!
Well I enjoyed watching this movie. Yes the movie wasn't scary, thats not the point. It was to creep you out and thats exactly what the movie did to me. Some people said they couldn't go to sleep after watching the movie, well I was able to even though it took me awhile, lol. I believe in the paranormal and stuff like that, it's interesting..I give this movie a rating of 9/10, just because the beginning was a little slow but I liked the movie.
I didnt kno tht there was 3 different ending i only knew about 2..hmm. i kinda thought tht it was a ok movie it was definetally creepy to say in the least. it did start out mad slow & boring but the middle to end was good.. so where can i c these other endings? i only seen the 1 where she gets killed by the cops
Well, after reading other viewers comments, i started watching it with few good expectations, but in the end it´s a pretty good movie for a low budget. Probably the best low budget movie i saw after Blair Witch. The fact i didn´t rate it 5 stars is that the first 50mn are very slow with few paranormal activities and people who are not much into that kind of stuff will probably shut it off for good, but the las 50mn that´s when real sh** start to happen and that scene

of the girl being pulled out of her bed and dragged to another room was really scary
..people that say they laugh, i guess they say it because they were scared! I rated 4 stars because there´s something missing. They should go deeper, and the psychic scenes weren´t enough explored.
the movie overall was disappointing. i don't really get why people talk about it so much. there were a few interesting (and i say interesting because they just weren't scary at all to me; maybe this has something to do that i'm not afraid of anything) parts, but for the most part it was just boring. there wasn't even the anticipation that most people feel. and honestly i must say that i absolutely LOVED the ending. you could tell she was completely insane. overall 2/5
I don't concider tyhis a spoiler cuz it's not the ending featured here, but did anyone elese see the alternate ending, where after killing Mika, Katie comes up the satirs and all of the sudden you see Mika's liflerss corpse being thrown at the camera? After which she kneels besides him and starts sniffing him? Really shocking compared to this ending.
Yeah it's no wonder that's not the featured ending cos it would have made this serious heap of crap movie into the BIGGEST pile of elephant crap ever witnessed!!
they played that part in the tv commercials and after watching it on here I was wondering why it wasn't in it. That actually would have made the ending a little more exciting.
the acting was actually more realistic, your just use to the acting you see in most regular movies and consider that "good" acting, when in reality it's not, these 2 actors did a superb job in making it seem like that was their life, considering they had no real acting experience before this film.
First of all let me say no crap you idiots, it's a fake movie intended to seem as real as possible, no this did not actually happen. Dur ta dur.
Secondly the film keeps you on the edge of your seat watching to see how it progresses, then sadly ends abruptly in a horribly stupid way that ruins it completely.The movie would be more satisfying if you stopped 10 minutes before it ended.
The movie was made in a very short amount of time (under 2 weeks I think?) and it was decent for most of it considering it cost close to nothing to make the film and very little time. I thought it was a movie that had a lot more potential and what was going through their minds when they decided to end it that way I'll never know.
There wasn't a lot of action no, but it still managed to keep your attention to wait for some exciting moments which it did have.
its one of those movies that just makes you mad, because they fcking ruined it with a shty ending like most movies.
it's sad when people have to cry out and scream how offended they were because they didn't like a movie, you need to express how fake it is, when at one point you thought it was real. just admit that it scared you, and when you went home you were thinking about the strange feeling of a presence in the other room.
It made me laugh. It was horrible. Not scary. Never thought it was real. Hmm why?? I've seen her in a movie before. Not to mention I knew about this film back in 2007 when it was originally made. Didn't scare me. Made me laugh. Only presence I felt was my dog snoring next to me.
The acting wasn't bad, but the movie didn't scare me. I watch these movies to see if the filmakers can make me forget that it isn't real - they didn't - but it was a nice try. 2/5
Well I actually quiet enjoyed this movie.
I watched it with my 12 year old daughter. It was very predictable, but very fun.
I'd watch it again, and way more intresting then the blair witch project.
the dialogue in this movie eminds me alot of the old poltergeist movie.It aint horrible if your into movie's like blair witch an cloverfield then you'll probably like this i didnt tho. 1/5
This is the biggest scary movie let down since The Blair Witch Project. Anyone who was around when The Blair Witch came out knows what I mean. Then when you put these two movies side by side. The Blair Witch is 10x better movie. I watched the first 15 minutes of this garbage and me and my female friend were confused. We kept wondering if this was the right movie and when something was going to happen. We even fast forwarded to try and find the scary parts and stop, because it was taking too long to find one.
TOTAL GARBAGE. MORE OVERHYPED THAN ANY MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN.
I totally agree ! What a waste of time. We rented this movie because it was the only blu-ray rental left. The entire movie is filmed in a "Blair Witch" format, in other words, home video, which sucked and precluded the blu-ray effects. It is entirely my fault that I did NOT fast forward, continuing to watch wondering if the real movie was going to begin. DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE, IT IS AWFUL !! AND A WASTE OF TIME.
