This is the true story of Michael Alig (Culkin), a Club Kid party organizer whose life was sent spiraling down when he bragged on television about killing his drug dealer and roommate (Cruz).
Party Monster is plain shocking to a lot of people. What with having Macaulay Caulkin and Seth Green playing, gender-confused, drug-popping party-goers for one.
The story seems wacky, outrageous and all over the place, and guess what? It's based on a true story, and real-life doesn't abide by Hollywood's formulaic rules.
I'd an appreciation for the bizarre is required to enjoy this cult movie.

good movie, i could not take my eyes of it. maby cos of all the wonderful drugs they were doing. new name should be "lets see how much drugs we can do". entertaining and pretty cool to see this. it was the 80's and i remember all thoes songs but do not remember club kids. a few "new wave" but thats about it. more def lepard, motley crue kinda stuff.
I have watched this movie many times and still dont get tired of it. I thought McCauley and Seth were wonderful together and totally believable. Its a movie you either like or hate. No in between. I give it a 7/10
i was a bit iffy about this movie at first because i have watched the documentaries and i wasn't sure if they would do a good job at portraying wut had really happened, but i was pleased at how it came out..seth green and macaulay culkin did great jobs..worth a watch..7/10

it wasn't that great of acting, well maybe because they are suppose to be like drag queens. And the quality as in camera seemed low budget
it was a pretty good movie, very different. I liked how it had well known actors as well.
this movie was sick.i love it.my girlfriend told me to watch it since iwas in to the whole rave scene and .. shows the darkside to party kids and it blew my mind.
at first i thougt it was a low budget movie, filmed with a poor camera, but the film really suprised me! and I thought that letting the little boy from home alone play a gay man would be a floop, but he is really a great actor! Great movie!
is one of those movies that's often overlooked. I think it's great and really unique. I love how the story is told in such a comedic way even though it's about a drug addict who commits murder. It's not often that a giant talking rat is a key character. If you liked this movie you should watch 'Party Monster: The Shockumentary.'

This movie has alot of mixed reviews so I wasn't sure about it but I'm glad I watched it. I really liked it! Its just so interesting and really reminded me of Andy Warhol's Factory. Culkin did bother me a bit, I thought he could do better, but it wasn't that bad. Seth Green really blew me away though! I never knew he could act that well. He was my favorite part of the movie. The story is a little unbalanced and poor at times but I would recommend it for anyone who loves Rocky Horror! 3.5/5
Just like most when watching this I was shocked by what I was seeing and couldn't determine the direction of the film. But then my analytical mind kicked in and I decided to look up what the plot of the movie was about and what direction they where going in.
I was happy to discover that this is based on a "TRUE STORY", so despite the outrageousness of the plot it was very interesting and enjoyable to watch after realizing there really where a group called "the club kids" and the characters depicted what really happened to each in real life. 3.5/5
omg, this is a must see. its done fabulously. there are no words to descripe, really. good actors and and even more fabulous acting. Can not go wrong with this movie. two thumbs and two toes up :)
starring the home alone kid & seth green it protrays these 2 in a way you've never seen them & probally will never see them again a rocking movie it was fabulaous two thumbs up
