I Thought I had a thing for Molly Ringwall back in 86 but she's still hot as hell loved the brat pack always been a huge fan.

I'm usually not a fan of sappy teen dramas, but John Hughes is the complete ----- when it comes to entertainment in teen movies. Molly is terrific, but I just love John Cryer the most. 9/10 for me. Check it out!
I've never heard this movie compared to a fairy-tale, but all the "Cinderella" elements are there: the poor girl dreaming of a better life; the fancy ball; the fairy godmother; and of course the handsome and wealthy Prince Charming. It lacked a glass slipper, but threw in Duckie, the awkwardly adorable "best friend", madly in love with Molly Ringwold's character - and, by the way, the only one who was really there for her when the chips were down. Poor Duckie was my favorite character. I can't wait to see a movie where the Duckies of the world actually get the girl.

A classic movie from the 80's. Molly Ringwold is HOT as always. I identify with the character Duckie - but in real life, I got my Molly Ringwold when I married my wife. I graded this movie an "A". If you need some more laughs, make sure you check out "Flogging Margaret".
You know, I always thought watching this could be unbearable. But I made up my mind and decided to give it a try.. I did! And you know what, this is truly one of the best films I have EVER seen! Despite the context, I loved it from the very beginning. You know, the story might be just one of thousands, all the same and fairly cheesey but nothing tells it this good, nothing's been showed this heartfelt and truthful throughout. Nothing! WISH they made films like this still to this day. The fact that I just love the 80's made this even better (what's the matter with you people saying it's weird or that..?) and I think Jon Cryer is just AMAZING in this, to say nothing. One of the best actors I've seen.
I wouldn't call this a "teen-whatever" film. This is something more.

one of the best cult classic movies ever.. it cant help but remind u of your highschool days!! i love it..but i agree with LLAMA's spoiler comment..although Andrew Mcarthy is sexy and simply irresistable!! rawr!! lol
just started watchin, dude the outfits!! guess people'll be sayin the same about the current fashion taste 10 years from now but still 80's taste..incredible!
