Was not sure were the writers were taking the Bond character. It is very much a departure from what we have been used too. I have to say it took me a little to warm up to it, but Craig has brought a freshness that was needed. For me, I look forward to part II
I have been around long enough to see all the other versions of James Bond, none of which managed to convince me that they could really pull off the role (sorry other versions of bond fans - no disrespect). Finally I get to see a really convincing James Bond, and I can enjoy the films. Craig gives the role of Bond credibility for me. As for the others, I just don't like a lame version of a tough guy, and prefer the action man version, fights that are realistic and heroic and less of the glam playboy crap. Really great!
Unlike most Bond movies, where the ending turns out to be a climactic ending, this one just kind of fissiled. It was a great fkick, but it was drawn out way too long.
** Stars (For originality) I would given it 5 stars, but t lacked the usual luster that must Bond movies have. DC was great. but lacks the subtleties that Connery practically oozes.
After reading all the reviews and finally seeing this movie I have to say this. James Bond, regardless who plays him, has got to be one bad a** dude. Ever since I was a kid, anytime I would see a bond movie, I would make believe I was him. You know how kids' imaginations are? Mine was vivid. You know, I've always thought that Sean Connery was the very first Bond but alas twas not. After seeing "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" man, that George Lazenby was dorky lookin', huh? Now between Sean and Roger, I thought Sean was more aggressive than Roger. Which was why I liked Sean better. Now Timmy was good, very good. He played a Sean Connery version unfortunately he did one Bond movie. Pierce played both Sean and Roger versions. He was smooth yet forceful to the bad babes.
And now we come to Danny boy. His films have a style of James on the brink of either quitting the B I or getting fired, or "burned" as they say in the spy business..(Burn Notice) So to sum it all up, Sean is number one in the 60's and 70's including the 80's with "Never Say Never Again" And between Timmy, Peirce and Danny?? It's Craig, Dan Craig!!
Bond is good. This new Bond is better than everyone except Sean Connery. He is darker and much more physical than the others. Good action and intrigue. Bond style. Not as many super hot girls like the old Bond. Worth watching still.
daniel craig is still the best bond going and this film is as good as, if not better than the last one. its good to see bond portrayed as a normal person with feelings, he gets hurt, bleeds and kicks ass.
if you enjoyed the last film then you will love this one. watch it and enjoy.
Are y'all forgetting the GREATEST BOND OF ALL TIME. Sean Connery. Sean Connery was the greates bond ever. From Russia With Love is the best bond movie.
Daniel Cage is definately a more darker conflicted Bond but offers a new fresh direction for the series of 007 James Bond, epic movie industry.
His (Daniel Cage) first movie as Bond will be hard to eclipse for they invested so much into that film, howbeit, this one "is" worthy of purchase for it offers a smooth transition into this film and beyond.
its not like the old james bond movies.. this movie is ok.. i really dnt think the actor matches the role.. but thank god its better than casino royale.. il give this a 6..
Came back to this one, boy they have James back and back with a vengence. Excellent casting, glad to see they are back to a gritty James Bond. Well worth the watch. 5/5
Good movie, lots of action, typical Bond film.. I liked Casino Royale better but, I like what they are doing with the new Bond movies.. Daniel Craig does a great job, not the best Bond but, definetly not the worst and is improving.. 8/10..
that was an okay movie, i didn't like the ending. i don't think that i will watch it again, bond did not act like himself in the movie. there where not that many bond gadgets like in other ones there moving away from how 007 use to be.
