Up-and-coming sports reporter (Hartnett) rescues a homeless man ("Champ", Jackson) only to discover that he is, in fact, a boxing legend believed to have passed away. What begins as an opportunity to resurrect Champ's story and escape the shadow of his father's success becomes a personal journey as the ambitious reporter reexamines his own life and his relationship with his family.
Somebody recomend this film to me. I will never follow this dude advice again ever, this flick was nothing special not even average a little boring too.
there is nothing to say about it but the movie is based on trust, failures and the lies. what to say about trust - we can relate the trust with an individual's personality as Trust is directly proportional to the circumstances of a person.the question is who break your trust - a good or bad person? and then do we trust a bad person? no. then must be good person who break your trust. what makes a good person to break your trust?and do we forgive that person after breaking the trust?
Great story, great actors, in all respects a very good movie. Ups and downs that move you. Highs and lows that keep you involved. A moral that makes sense, honesty and the price one pays for dishonesty. 10/10
Great movie with incredible acting, not to mention that Josh Harnett is sexy as hell. Samuel L. Jackson does not disappoint. He is simply an amazing actor. Extremely entertaining plot. 9/10
this is one of the best boxing movies ive seen! its inspired by a true story which made it that much better cause it is inspiring and a definate must see!!
This movie aims to teach the lesson of not to lie and how damaging lies can be, however it delivers it in a slow, BORING and tiresome manner. the story isnt that bad but is presented in such a way that i felt reading the spoiler online on another website more interesting then this. the cast is wasted and the story centres more around harnett and his wife problems rather then 'the champ'. dont bother watching this film unless your having a very slow sunday, and even then dont dont bother.
This movie was poor. I love Samuel Jackson, but I just didn't like the way he played this character. There are some good parts to the movie, just not enough to make it what it could have been. 5.5/10
It's kinda nice when a movie is not what you expected but even better when it is better than expected and has an even better "feel good" appeal. Samuel Jackson did a fine job helping the audience understand and maybe even search their own soul for everyday answers as we all struggle to leave a legacy to our children.
movie had an overall good concept but if you love action than this isn't your movie to watch, but it is a great movie a little slow but good, i hung in there
