GREAT! One Of The Best Gangster Movies Of All Time!
This movie stands on its own as a drama. Add to that a realistic gritty mob story with Tom Hanks. Great acting, directing, script, score, ect. This movie should be the subject of film school classes. Its that good.
This was a very good movie. This is my first time watching it and I am mad because this movie was great. I wish I would have seen it sooner, the acting and story line were great. Tom Hanks can play any role to the tee.

It sucked that he had to die at the end, because I would've liked to see him live. So he could have raised his son.
i agree, but he became too dangerous to have around. he took too many liberties to have gotten away with it. the mob couldnt allow that kind of actions to go.
An excellent film, and one I hadn't even heard of before. Great cast; everyone gave very good performances. Brilliant story.. it really brought out the tragic side better than most gangster/hitman films.
Well worth the time..5/5 stars.
I rarely say this but this is one of the best movie I have ever watched.Tom hanks at his best as usual, but I was dumbstruck by Jude Law's performance.Nice to see Daniel also.

I can't believe Tom Hanks is the most terrifying hitman in USA. Tom Hanks was completely miss-cast, Danny Craig is just ok, Jude Law is cool but doesn't do much and Paul Newman is the Man.
Back to the film, it's over-long and feels like it's here to get a cheap Oscar
This is an excellent movie with one of the best sound tracks i have ever heard. THomas Newman is a musical genius. Along with that the acting was great and the story was very compelling. This is a movie for people with taste.
What can i say that others havn't? Only that i agree this was a great movie with superb acting, and a brilliant storyline! 5/5 and going on my playlist!
Hanks is such a versatile actor - I have yet to see a role he has not totally gotten "into" and really sold!! This is just an excellent film - watch for yourself, you will NOT be disappointed!! 4.5/5
this movie hardly got the attention it deserved. Tom Hanks slips out of his comfort zone and kills in this movie. the cast is pretty stellar. newman,judelaw,daniel craig. very top notch. Its a great story and worth the watch.8/10

Well deserved nominations for Best Supporting actor by Newman. Surprised Hanks didn't get nominated that year for this movie. Movie is top notch as you would expect! 10/10 in my book
I am a huge Tom Hanks Fan and this is my favorite movie that he has ever done. Road to Perdition is a very under rated movie in my mind.. Great cast and plot. It is a must watch if you like Tom Hanks
I so agree. This is one of my favorite movies too. Besides the great performances, I'd like to point out that the photography is beautiful in this movie. Underrated movie in general, but it's good to see a 9.5 here. It deserves it!

This is ,by far, one of the most unorthodox roles you are ever bound to see Tom Hanks in. At the time of its release, it was though of as even more so. The quintessential "nice guy" decides to go the other direction by playing and heartless gangster hell bent on revenge.
However, Hanks certainly pulls it off in a big way showing once again that you can't always type cast any particular actor.
Also important to note here is Newman's performance, which is thoroughly powerful and believable as always. Whenever you have two actors with such obvious chops, it is hard to go wrong, and this no exception.
I am not really much for movie scores as a general rule, but I thought this film was scored wonderful and it does much for transitional moments of the film.
