The movie was okay, a bit better than the older version but at the same time it wasn't anything too special. I would only recommend watching it if you are really bored and have nothing else to do. I give it a 3/5 as the movie wasn't BAD but not amazing either.

the scenes between father and son are heart felt and moving. I have watched this movie several times and i am touched by the love and unity of an american family.
The street lights, watching soul train, and that one fine guy at the rink who could out skate all of us. Yeah those were the days. All you had to do was complete your homework, clean the house, and get your tail home before them street lights came home. "Don't let them street lights catch you"! My parents use to say..hahaha! Simple times
Not only did I enjoy this movie, I actually ived it! This tory is set in the late 70's when Disco was just about to croke and roller skating was stll the rage. The story, plot and characters were very believeanle and I was drawn into the family plot itself. My father had passed wasy when I was 12 and I too escaped into my world of friends, rollerskates and music. "Girls came way later." To those of us that relished in our youth, Right on, Right on!
