Inspired by true accounts and the craze that took place in the late 1970's and early 80's, follows in the footsteps of classic horror films from that generation. In 1980, ten year old twins Toby and Cindy Richards were abducted by a group of demented satanic cult members. Cindy managed to escape, but Toby was never found. Twenty-five years later, a group of six friends take a canoe trip to re-kindle their friendship, only to find themselves in trouble with crazy, small town locals and the same satanic cult that took Toby years ago. Can the friends make it out of the town of Thornwood alive and in one piece, or will the become victims of sacrifice?
Let me guess! The ratings are the sum of all rates divided by the raters!? Wright? So if in the comments about 90% are saying it´s a 1 star movie and the movie is rated 7.4 .. there´s a lot of cheaters arround here!! People are voting just for their status points (like if that means anything!)! I know that mods are going to text me and say like they allready said to me: "please only comment after viewing the movie!". Well i say: How about getting a vote system that´s only available after you watch the movie? I really care for this site and actually i´m used to check-out the above 7.0 movie firstly, and i don´t like to get tricked and wast valuable time so..

Let's do it like in blairwich with fake one shooting camera interviewing! this Isn't scary at all producers ! it's like the 3rd horror movie this month with the same way of making. Where are the real horror movie like Exorcist or Shinning..Pff
I didn't give a rate cause the poor movie is gonna take all the kicks alone.
For the religious part : being of none (catho nor satan's) and having read about all the religious books (bible, satan's bible, coran, etc.) all I can say is that the texts are all very symbolic and that it is not the religion asking for war through them but well the humans that interprete them... All come from a good intention at the time where they were made... All got corrupted by bad intetionned men. Too bad. Now to do a movie like this knowing Catholisism and all "god" (superior entities) believing religion are slowly but surely dying... Not sure it was the best to do propaganda...only makes them all look even worst.
I agree, its not all that bad, however, it was just not really a movie you would talk about but a interesting concept of what they were trying to do to gain your attention!
This movie was okay if you wanted to pass the time or watch something just to laugh at. It was so unreal and had nothing to keep your attention. Some of the scenes you wish they showed you to make it look real, but at the same time, by the not showing you but so much, it made the movie PG13 moreso than rated R!
This is a beautiful example of really bad film making, bad writing, bad acting, bad special effects; all tied together by some really bad directing and editing. And just so I make myself clear, this is not an endorsement of any kind. 1 out of 5.
slow, started of like a documentary, rather boring, transformed into a movie. Wasn't particularly very good. I'd say don't bother unless your really bored.
