I believe that this is one of best films of all time. This movie was touching, inspirational; it gives SO many real life lessons. Will gives the performance of a LIFE TIME in this movie. The rest of the cast is absoultely awesome as well. If you haven't seen it, please watch it. It will change you, I promise.
Don't know why this film got such a bad rap when it came out.
Perhaps it was because people were expecting some action or maybe a bit of comedy from Will Smith.
Personally I think this is the best role he ever played and showed that he truly is an amazing actor.
A brilliant story, very touching and also quite intriguing.
Love the melancholic soundtrack and the hazy screenplay.

This movie is phenomenal. I would suggest this movie to anyone. If you do watch it bring some tissues. It is powerful, well thought out, touching and very moving. I knew that it was going to be very deep, so I waited quite some time to watch this, because I needed to be in the mood to see it. Once I watched it, I realized what a fantastic movie I had been missing. Everyone should see this film at least once. Will Smith was perfect for this role and he shows it in his portrayal of the main character. So in short.. (I know too late - lol) watch this phenomenal film or you will be missing out. 5/5
Yes. I like reviews from normal people and not from pretentious film critics. It's well thought out reviews like these that make me want to see a film. Based on how the movie made you feel, i would be a fool not to give it a go. Yeah, i'll watch it now and see how it goes.
this was a very wonderful movie , very touching in every way and i luv every about this movie 10/10 i disagrees with the endin but he kill 7 people and he plans to save life of others so he did what he had to do and thats a good man . wonderful acting will smith the best out of all his movie .
this movie was beyond great. its a bit confusing in the beginning but it does piece itself together. i actually cried at the ending. its really great. please watch this movie.
I watched at the movie, did not enjoy it the first time, but it got beautiful and more and more touchy as it goes..Worth a millions time to watch. Do watch or you'll miss what you're not suppose to miss to be told to you about life.
Don't watch it with a lot of people. It would ruin it. The feeling it conveys is like when it's your birthday and you realise you've done nothing noble this year either. It's such a nice movie, it makes you think about your life, what you've done, makes you wonder why you aren't in the arms of the one you love. We should stop wasting our time.

i can't believe i missed this one first time around, a totally entertaining and thought provoking film. some great music also, i love that song "and i'm feeling good" - i think adam lambert did a cover of it on AI did this year, does anyone know who performed the original?
This movie is great acting of S. Will. He have a different quality of acting. Will really can give real emotion in movie, the emotion of his is really the unique.
But a movie 21 grams is similer with 7 pound. Just i don't now who had dublicate whom movie..??

the movie is called seven pounds because

pound refers to giving a pound of flesh (to give of yourself) seven is the number people whom he gave a pound of flesh too (not literally of his flesh in all cases so its easy to only notice five or six but there is seven)
This, in my opinion, is that saddest movie EVER. I definitely recommend it and I also give it a 10/10.
For people that didn't understand the plot:

The main character killed 7 people in a car accident, he then decides to help 7 people by changing there lives (example: he gave his heart to Emilie, he gave his eyes to the blind guy, I think he gave a part of his lungs to his brother, he also gave a part of his liver to Holly, ect..)
I finaly understand what he needed the jellyfish for,

He needed them to commit suicide at the end
Awesome movie, It might be hard for some to understand it at the beginning but you'll understand over time by watching the movie.
People are saying that the seven pounds made up his organs, but he gave away his house to that one abused lady with the kids. Yeah..how much do you think that house weighs?
Yes, we sort of expect a Will Smith film will be worth watching, but this one in my opinion is his best by far.
Sad deep and meaningful with top acting all round and a good story line which will keep you guessing on the finer points to the very end.

this was a really good movie, one of those movies where I had no idea what to expect really but turned out amazingly acted! Rosario Dawson is incredible.
life feel meaningful - especially in a way that is permanent - after losing your wife in a car crash like that... Will's halting attempts to feel something beautiful again were some of the most bitter-sweet moments I've seen. His acts of extraordinary selflessness are the closest he could get to restoring some permanent meaning to his life - paradoxically through his own death. The errie beauty of the box-jellyfish was a well chosen metaphor for this also.
In this sense the film borders on the religious; it is ultimately about the return to the garden of eden of life. It could also be interpreted as a sort of resurrection.
Given the poetic crafting of this movie and the intensity of its themes on the one hand, yet the lukewarm reception of most critics on the other, I can only guess that most critics didn't really understand this movie - at all.
