This is really creative and original. Definitely not historically accurate but awesome nevertheless and worth watching for the gorgeous costumes alone.
I gotta be honest, other than Geoffrey Rush who's always incredible, I didn't like it. They should've done a re-cast for Gwyneth's part b/c in my opinion she wasn't as great as I hoped. If Cate Blanchett was able to fill in, it might've been a better movie.
" I love you like sickness and the cure mixed altogether." Whenever I watch or read Shakespeare's work my heart just gets heavy and I am blindly amazed at how someone can explore depths of love this far.
This movie is a fun distraction and there's really nothing bad to say about it. But, how this movie could ever be considered the best picture of any year is beyond me. Then the fact that Saving Privite Ryan came out the same year and you know the Oscar voters must all have been high that year.

I absolutely adore Shakespeare, although my English teacher is a pervert who refers to the whole sex issue and emphasises every aspect of the woman's body..ugh.
Anyway, it cannot be marred by anything..for Shakespeare shall always remain Shakespeare.. the god of literature from the dawn of the days.
yes you must watch this right away if you havn't yet already.. and even if you have you know you want to watch it again.. cuz its one of those cool movies that most of us love.
This is a great romance movie as well as really funny. I always almost cry at the end but it somehow seems happy when it would usually be an unhappy ending. It took too long to load, but that's probably just my computer, so i bought it on DVD. Definitely worth watching. The guy is really really hot as well :)!
