Superb crime/drama, I've seen it once before years ago. Solid, intense plot and an excellent cast with good performances from everyone. Kevin Bacon plays a very convincing villain and it's always a joy to see De Niro. Well worth the time invested..5/5 stars.
i really didnt rate this film, and i dont know why considering so many people like it, it aint too bad i guess, just that i dont particularly think its worth as high a praise as it gets
an emotional rollercoster of a ride that leaves you bitter twisted hateful but proud them boys got there revenge ,, based on a true heartbreaking story ,, its a film of brutalty abuse and suffering that really left me with a lack of faith in the human race for a while ,, what more can i say
I watched this movie back in the 90s when i was a teen and was left absolutely mortified; how such young boys could be subdued to evil torture, is sick; but the manner in whihc they exact revenge was very sweet.
This is 'supposedly' meant to be based on a true story according to the author, so it intensifies the movie even more. Definately worth the watch, but quite unsettling so brace your self. :-)
Both of these Movies are a must, what happened? and will they be fixed soon?

Made me mad hell, got me crying, and then mad as hell again! How can you even "think about" doing that to a child. I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND, AND THERE IS NOTHING A PERSON COULD SAY TO MAKE ALRIGHT OR JUSTIFIABLE EITHER! I am sorry nothing!
Very powerful movie in the first half, second half kind of drags once they move to present time. Another good performance by Kevin Bacon. Strong supporting cast.
