Unique & Different, That's What I Like!! (when It Works)!
"Splinter" was one of those movies you really don't expect much going in but it is a very well made movie. Strong performance by the actors, cool creature, very unique and different, and of course you get your blood and gore. Although the movie does take place basically in one destination, it does not get boring like others have in the past. I does keep you entertained.
I always give praise to a unique killer in a horror movie since I am guessing the options are becoming less limited as time goes by.
4 out of 5 for a cool and unique film. check it out!
I honestly don't understand why the amount of people in a movie is important?? So more people would had made it better for you?? Really??
You guys really need to get of the "HIGH" of big budget films. Time and time again, it has been proven, more special effects and more of a cast does not, I repeat, does not make it better.
It just makes it more expensive, that's all.
I enjoyed this. I would have liked to see more of monster and a clearer view of it. The actors were very believable and the writing, directing and acting was above normal for this genre. This on my horror playlist.
i read a lot of the comments and didn't watch this movie for a while. today, after watching it, i was pleasently surprised. i thougt it was good, as horror movies go. 4/5 stars
So, this movie is boring for some people ? I actually think it's great !,it shows that you don't need big budgets and all tech crazy to make a fun film, you just need a little creativity.
I recommend this movie to all real Horror fans ( not for the people who think movies like the uninvited or remake of the Omen great )
I liked the idea of this, and the monster was cool, but it was really boring. I don't think I'd watch it again, it just seems so unfinished and thrown together.
besides the obvious dumb mistakes that the characters make the movie turned out well.
it was entertaining to somewhat a degree of 'the thing'.
enjoyed it, curl up with your cutie inside your blanket and dim the lights, its that kind of movie.

It was an alright movie, even with the bad script, bad acting and obvious cheesed effects. I really wish it wasn't as dark, I'd really like to get a closer up look of those monsters. They were super cool looking.
It had some gore scene's in it that made me cringe but overall it didn't make me jump.
I'd buy it for my collection. 7/10
Pretty good. Good acting, decent special effects, and a good story line that, while not 100% original, hasn't been done to death. Definitely worth watching for horror fans.
