An amazing sequel, still as entertaining as ever. Retains all the utter brilliance of "A New Hope" and expands it even further; the battle of Planet Hoth is mind-blowingly awesome and the Vader & Luke confrontation at Cloud City is one of the most famous scenes in cinematic history. The first film is perfect, so this has to be super-perfect. 5/5 stars.
I'm guessing that those who gave this movie just a low rating are people I wouldn't want to share my popcorn with in a theater anyway. They're prob. still waiting for the sponge bob becomes an astronaut movie. Anyway - just having fun. This is a great movie; well written, interesting characters - a classic story of rebellion with a cool message. 5/5

The difference with websites like this is the broader audience, these films do not appeal to everyone, great as they may be.
My favourate as its much darker than the others without predictable end.Hans cool and like Darth murdering his generals when they screw up.New films poor as they look like cartoons with lazy over use of cg and unconvincing characters + terrible dialogue.Don't make em like this anymore,sadly.
i think its opposite..i can barely follow the story line of the first one because they got so wrapped up in the special effects. II and II aren't too bad and capture how Anakin is tormented and changed by loss.
Every single prop in that movie was real. All of the ships were obviously miniature or only peices of them were built. But hardly any of the movie was computer generated. That is why it is so good.
That Solo sure is funny. I sure missed Solo's humor in the new ones. The new ones are good but they are kind of more serious than the imperial era trilogy since there was more political issues involved in it. But like i said before they are good as the old ones. 10/10
wow just thnk what these movies would of been like if they were made in the 90's or even the 200's they would be awsome!! I hope they can make some kind of new movie for star wars.. not like the new animated one they got.. its good aswell but its animated lol
I love the series, I remember this when i was a kid. LOL Yoda i love him in this one because he's not computer animated, real am i not hmm find and you shall seek hmm have you not
star wars rocks ..still! i think i am going to go right now and watch return of the jedi all of the star wars movies were my fovorites then and they still are.
