I really enjoyed this and the tunes were pretty catchy, Tom hanks was average but overall I was suprised how much I found this to be a good watch.

I love this movie it reminds me of when I was 13 years old because that's how old I was when it came out, not really digging or feeling the music but the plot was good definently worth a watch!
this is such an awesome movie..ive seen it before and ive seen it again, its never seems to bore me..i love the music, never got tired of hearing it even if it was play all throughout..
My favorite movie is Forrest Gump, my second favorite movie is A river runs through, and now my third fav' is.. taadaam: That Thing That You Do. And i'm very happy to have seen it here so now i can buy the dvd, because i like the songs, the music, the screenplay, the actors, and tom hanks so much! i can tell you you MUST see it.
this is just an amazing movie really, totally encaptulates all the hype of 60's bands similar to the beatles (if you liked this watch "i wanna hold your hand"). i also have a bit of a softspot for steve zhan so..lol
At times the story was slow, but the overall tone of the movie was good. It is worth watching. It's a "break into music business" move, but also a love story.
Great movie. Written and directed by Tom Hanks. A great storyline..some great acting by some very talented artists. I thought this was just a really fun movie to watch. Thanks to the uploader of this one-derful film.

You know .. I REALLY liked this movie .. it had a great story line , and was set in a great time frame !! Liv Tyler was AMAZING !! Great movie .. Highly Recommended !! 5/5 stars !!
