Plain boring. The cameras don't bother me, I like movies shot to look like true events, and the very beginning was interesting, but then it just got more and more boring with every minute. The acting was horrible, I didn't believe them even for a sec, all this artificial screaming just got on my nerves. The only thing I wanted was for thit movie to end.
I've done research about the influence of movies on the viewers. It turned out that a movie that looks like a documentary (like this) has more impact on the audience than just a horror movie, like Halloween. The way they film,the story is filmed with a shaking hand is the reason why it's so scary, Very simple and very lucrative. If you think about the fact that the budget of this movie costed $ 22.000 and the profit of this movie is more than $ 247.000.000!! I think I made my point: people want to see this! Make a movie like this and you can get retired! p.s: they use the f word a lot and that for America; usually than you hear bleep bleep all the time...quite irritating though..
I actually didn’t like this movie it made me dizzy after a couple of minutes. It’s not the kind of movie I enjoy watching if you like people running around, screaming, crying with the camera turning at the same time all the ways give it a try you will probably love it

THIS IS THE FIRST DOCUMOVIE THAT HAD EVERYBODY OUTTA THEY'RE SEAT IT CREATED ALOT OF FUSS ABOUT WAS IT REAL OR FAKE BUT IT ALSO OPENED UP ALOT OF DIFFERENT FILMING ANGLES AND STRATIGIES GOOD FILM! TRY CLOVER FIELD!
i watched this in cinema when it first came out and ive watched it loads of times since and i still dont understand how people think its creepy or scary, it was neither if anything it was funny at times thats why theres been so many comedys taking the part out of her nose running and filming it as comedy lol sorry people but this had to be said
me n my mate watched ths film at 1 in the morning n we was realy disturbed as we know this isnt a maked up horror film with actors. weve gone campin in the woods with friends n it is creepy at night so i can relate to it. knowing that them 3 people went into the woods n neva cme back n hearing all thm noices at night was scary. 3 students did go missin in 1994, 10 years later there footage was found n this is there footage, this isnt a film with actors there real people, who are now gone n well neva b found, just watching there footage n seeing wat thy went through most of been horrorible, this film is very good (watch at night)

This movie deserved the hype it got, in my opinion.
I enjoyed how scary this film was, without revealing the Blair Witch or giving you visible evidence of something else in the woods. I think hearing something in the dark is much scarier than seeing something, because you don't know where it is or what it's doing. Noises are very, very good at scaring me. This added to the handheld video recorder certainly made you feel as if you were in the woods, and did make me believe it to be true

the end scene inside the abandoned house frightened me, due to the unexplained screeching coming from the basement as the explorers enter, the children's handprints all over the walls and the ultimate terrifying sight right before the end (be sure to pay attention to the interviews at the start of the film, because one man explains why Mike does what he does in the basement.
This movie scared me a lot, because it was realistic and didn't give you too much horror or visible evidence, which is what is more likely to happen when you claim to see a ghost e.t.c. The film gave me chills, kept me interested (and freaked out) and made me very jumpy for a long time afterward. Good for those who enjoy a scare.
I give this film a 9/10, fantastic plot, good idea and good acting. If I'd not have been told

This is a classic. First of it's kind. All others trying to do the same effect and hand held ect. are copy cats and 99% not even close to creating a similar mystery surrounding this movie. I love how did so much groundwork before the release of the movie. The hype can not be recreated. Love this movie - it's what you don't see and hear that's the creepy parts. It's art.

I loved the children in the woods + the ending with the house - yup, she's heere lol awesome!
So to understand the ending you have to pay close attention to the little hints throughout the movie.
I didn't know whether I should watch this movie or not, since I saw part II and absolutely hated the nonsense. But I just watched Paranormal Activity and I decided to go with something simular.
I never like Witch movies, so for me that would be a negative, but I must admit even though this IS about witchcraft, it doesn't really show. No hocus pocus stuff, no women with black clothing..this whole story is a mysterie really.. It doesn't really tell you EXACTLY what's going on and WHY and the ending was just..plain odd.
The camera didn't bother me ONE BIT. Only downer for me was the fact it didn't load well enough and only let me watch 5minutes at a time, so the whole suspence was gone for me. The first 40minutes I saw in full and it scared me, most of it anyways.
I love watching documentaries about ghosts, paranormal stuff/supernatural, aliens or any real horror events (like the cannibal..the dude who ate someone he met online :S loved that one!! lol) so for me this was a goldmine.
I absolutely enjoyed myself, although it did not quite left me satisfied. Was too short and not as dark as I imagined. I understood Heather, why she was so frightened and why she kept filming..I would have done the same thing. It was all very realistic and for some reason a bit better than other stuff out there nowadays (I love me some horror flicks, but the more realistic, the better). I can understand why people still think it was based on true events.
Again, the ending was a downer. I mean.. WTF!? All the sudden as well. Too damn boring in my opinion. But hey, who am I to say !?

Yeah Cannibal Holocaust was disturbing. I have seen this movie a thousand times and i can probably do a good "one man show" with all the dialogues but it still kinda gets me when i watch it.
I love the simplicity and theway the tension builds up. The only thing that would make the movie more horrifying to me is

if at the ending when Heather drops the camera and dies, you could catch a little glimpse of something witch-like. Like maybe an inch of a hairy limb as the crew discussed earlier in the movie.
I just think that will screw with your mind because you really dont know what it is but you know that you just saw something on the screen.
I remember when I first saw this, before it was announced that it was fake, all I can remember thinking is..that girl's gotta blow her nose. It's a PG version of a movie made back in the 70's called Cannibal Holochaust. If you want to see a film that's truely disturbing, check that one out
i love these kind of documentary stlyed movies. they make it seem more real to the audience and i hate people who diss them. have some respect for open mindness! yeah this movie: very creepy and of its genre its a 5/5. and u gota watch it alone in da dark! :)
wasnt really scary but stupid i meen lets walk into the most evil looking oldest house ive ever seen with hand prints on the wall of children made from blood because i can hear my friend josh screaming .. nigga seen dat house be gone and .. then walk round the whole house before going into the basement where those 7 kids were suposedly murdered. you would have to be totally retarted
