I was expecting something AWESOME when I saw all the positive comments, but, lol.. seriously, are you all on crack?! I personally take a strong dislike to such old films. I mean heck, there's old then there's OLD. This is bloody pre-historic!
Honestly, I'd rather cut off my own butt, lube up and let Mr. T enter me. 0__o
This is one of the most influential movies of all time, inspiring remakes to both the actual film and the musical score. In order to properly remake it, one would have to ressurect Hitchcock and team him with Burton and the Pang Brothers. Awe-inspiring. For the time it was made, and even it's artistry by today's standards, perfect score.
If You Can Truly Appreciate Film, Don't Miss This One
One of the greatest, albeit short lived, eras of film is German Expressionism, the heyday of which was around the time of this film's release, 1921. If you enjoyed this, please watch Nosferatu (the Murnau version), Golem, and even The Last Laugh, which is an all-timer. Good stuff!
I don't really like movies this old so i won't judge. For what is was it seemed ok. I just figured i get something a little different in my repertoire.
this is not a movie this is a moving painting. You can actually take a snapshot of any scene, print it and put it on the wall, that's how beautiful every shot is done
