that black guy just had some laser hanging around and is like well ya never know.. and just had some material that doesn't melt to go with it?? was he planing to build that drilling machine just for kicks?? also no one seemed to sleep for how ever long they were drilling over 3 days i think. not to mention hilary swank driving back for 20 hours straight..
This is a great movie, it really needs to be watched in hi def to get the full impact though.
five stars all the way, even with the one doctor i couldnt stand.
My interest was caught up within the film right from the beginning.. I love movies like that/this.

For a moment I thought I was going to get lost within the high school years of yesturday.. hOWEVER I DIDN'T SINCE THE SCENE WAS MINOR AND SERVED IT'S POINT!
LMAO.. The action continued to incline leaving my eyes glued to my emphamis screen. I was captivated even more. I love how a political figure can be put into his place almost right from the beginning, although we rely on these political figures to guide and shape our ways of well being, it has been proven time and time again sometimes ya have to look outside the box to achieve what we all need in life to survive!!
I'm surprised I never seen this movie before, especialy since it was made in 1993 ... HUH ON MY PART!!!
A great film full of wonderfull actors seamlessly directed ann all around 10 * (STAR) Quality film.
In ending.. [spoiler]The ending was great although a few crew members had to sacrifice their lives to save millions the ending couln't be better.
All the twists and turns in this movie just seemed to make it right. OH!!, and by the way the computer nerd made the movie even better. 10 /10 0n this one.
If you're looking for a ridiculous plot line..you found it. A few big names, interesting graphics. Basically it's the movie "Armageddon", to the center of the earth.
unrealistic.this was not a good movie drill to the center of the earth lol this shoulda went either straight to dvd the sci fi channel or the rubbish bin way over the top typical hollywood nonsense
