Three American brothers who have not spoken to each other in a year set off on a train voyage across India with a plan to find themselves and bond with each other -- to become brothers again like they used to be. Their "spiritual quest", however, veers rapidly off-course (due to events involving over-the-counter pain killers, Indian cough syrup, and pepper spray), and they eventually find themselves stranded alone in the middle of the desert with eleven suitcases, a printer, and a laminating machine. At this moment, a new, unplanned journey suddenly begins.
I watched this movie because it was set in India. I came away with mixed feelings about it. I kind of liked it, and kind of not. I wonder what the book was like.
I guess what bothered me here was that the 3 main characters were mostly unlikeable, or maybe unlikely, annoying heroes to me.
Maybe just not my kind of humor.
Still at fascinating glimpse at India.

A truly great film. You have to be into character driven comedies to really enjoy it. If you like simple stupid humor this isn't the film for you. Personally, I wish there were more movies like this out there. God bless Wes Anderson!
It was a weird movie about an odd family, mainly three brothers, their trip and their eccentricities.. I'm not sure whether I liked it or not, it had some funny parts but, it was more like a slow traveling documentry.. 3.5/5..
I can get why a lot of people won't like this movie because they don't understand Wes Anderson's style. There was plenty of dry humor and quirky characters that stick with you. This movie is unique, funny, and heartfelt. Loved it.
..wes anderson is just genius at wat he does..second time around wasn't as special but then again these kinda movie's are always the best when they're fresh and new..great movie dont listen to the haters
This is a wes anderson film, good cast, good film work. If you understand his dry humor you will like it. The characters are great. The storys a lil slow, but would def reccomend it. good film
..although the movie is undoubtedly touched by the directorial genius of Wes Anderson, and has the luxury of a stellar cast, the movie alas has its head way too far up where the sun don't shine. Way to indulgent, 3/5..
i thought this movie was really good. obviously its one of those ones that are winners at film festivals and you only want to see it once. But i loved all the characters, the story, and the lessons.
This was a good movie..the acting was good..the story was good..i actually liked Owen in this one which is quite rare for me to even like him..in all it was a nice movie..I will add it to my collection..4/5..live it..love it..own it..
I wonder why people bother to spend time and money producing garbage like this. The money could be better spent elsewhere. As a movie it is a total waste of time. Best take the dog for a walk.
