keanu Reeves was good, i like how he showed now emotions he is not good at doing this any way but the film and producing was crap. the american are fairly .. nower days
was boring, for me. I really love Will Smith's son though! He's the bomb diggity..I liked his acting. Keanu, I realized he was supposed to act like a frikin alien but he's ALWAYS like that. In every role I've seen he talks all monotone like..it's annoying! And he's only kinda attractive. It was alright..nothing too great.
I'm not going to really touch on the subject matter, just on the execution. This movie was totally boring, predictable( figured it out it out the first 10 min and forced myself to watch the rest) and too "preachy". If Hollywood is so upset with the state of the world and the direction it's headed, how about lowering the salaries of some of these actors, and donating more to charity and or stop the promotion of "brand-whoring", and stop drilling it in to people that they have to "one-up the Jones'. Yeah I know the movie was more environmental, but still. My bad, cuz I said I wasn't going to talk about the subject matter. Anywho, in terms of entertaining I give it a 2/5, mostly because I was entertained by the big silver non-speaking automaton. And it gets a 2/5 cuz Keanu gives his usual, I'm trying to be intense blank-stare monotone delivery. At this point in the game, we'd probably be disappointed if he did anything else. Ugh!! But he is easy on the eyes
There are few posts that I agree on almost point for point. Yours is one of them. As I was watching I kept thinking, 'where did the environmentalists get the money for a big budget movie?' The automaton was the star in my opinion. He should have played Reeves' part. They could have just made his size adaptable. The ending also left much to be desired. I disagree that it was totally boring. It's watchable even if predictable. Also, even if irritating, Kathy Bates did a good job. 2.5/5 Between Good and take your chances
Keanu Reeves keep getting these kind of 'very different' kind of characters and roles; his best by far has been the Matrix and then Speed 1. Except for some occasional surprises here and there, the movie is otherwise an average movie compared to other sci-fi movies
Not as good as the original, Reeves and the scrpit are terrible, the story expands on nothing new from the original, and the kid was really annoying. CGI were good, but a film you will quickly forget 3/5..
MAKES ME THINK ABOUT WHAT WE SHOULD BE DOING ABOUT TAKING CARE OF THE HEALTH OF OUR PLANET.. IT WASN'T THE BEST MOVIE EVER BUT AT LEAST WORTH WATCHING. 2.5/5
nothing intriguing here!! just a logical storyline, entwined with suspense .although i have to say thee idea of robots comming from the future to save not only the planet earth . but us from our own selfs, is pretty genius. i just was expecting more from this movie but i was surely let down overall . its watchable . 2/5
KEANU'S CHARACTER HAS THAT EMPTY LOOK THROUGH OUT THE MOVIE BUT WATCHING HIM SINCE "BILL AND TED" ITS SOMETHING I'VE GROWN ACCUSTOMED TO. BUT I WAS INTRIGUED THROUGH OUT THE FILM. THE WHOLE ASPECT ON HUMAINTY AND HOW DESTRUCTIVE WE ARE MAKES YOU WONDER IF WE CAN CHANGE..IF THIS ACTUALLY OCCURED.I DOUBT WE WILL. COOL MOVIE THOUGH.4/5
ROFL about Keanu. But really, who ever thought that from Bill and Ted we would actually get an actor who could pull off Speed and The Matirx? I mean now, I couldn't picture any other actor doing those rolls.
the movie was ok the story in it self is a great story but too much is left over to special effects too little too content,
and that little kid could not act too save hes own life, he was totally unbelieveble, i could not take him seriouse for 1 mili seconed, i read here hes the son of will smith well that goes to show you that even if your from a acting family does not automaticly mean you can act, i would be very VERY suprised if that kid would appear in any other movie or tv series cause he really sucked totally
although i am somewhata fan of Keanu not the best actor but he gets good roles and i must say this was a good role nothing spectacular about the movie or the acting but the premise of the movie and the sheer truth of the story was enough for me to give this movie 8/10
