First of all this movie is very very underrated, it's a shame for everyone who voted negatively. This movie is a pure masterpiece. Fantastic acting, excellent cast, fabulous storyline. I'm shocked this movie didn't won any Oscars. I will give 10/10.
Masterpiece. Wonderful, powerful story from Stephen King, and brilliantly directed by Frank Darabont. Spellbinding performances from all members of the cast.
I mostly seek out and watch old b&w films, unusual films, obscure films, foreign films and pay attention to little else - and while it's greatly rewarding, it does have its consequences; such as only now having seen "The Green Mile" today for the first time ever.
I may need to rethink my top 10 films of the past decade, because this is one of the best films I've ever seen. 5/5 stars.
You should definitely make time for this movie. An excellent take on the book, and riveting work by the cast. Even the "villian/despised" character of this movie movie gets a nod..for being so utterly convincing.
Amazing, simply amazing, one of those "tales" that comes along every so often and makes you look deep within yourself, the actors that portrayed these characters did an amazing job. This film stares you dead in the face and just makes you wonder.. No rating i could give would do this film justice.
My mother's a nurse here in Indiana, there was a woman that came to work at the nursing home my mother works at. Back around the time this movie first came out. Come to find out that woman had worked at another nursing home I believe was here in Indiana where Michael Clarke Duncan's mother was. I was told she was the sweetest woman ever, I don't know if she's still alive or if she passed. She was always talking about her son being in Hollywood. She was a single mother and in school he took an interest in football she feared he would get hurt so wouldn't let him play lol. She done a wonderful job raising him, hes an amazing actor.

Serious though this movie is one of a kind. Must See!
I think it is obvious that someone is finding a way to lower the ratings of certain all-time great movies. The Lord of the Rings, The Shawshank Redemption and the Green Mile, among many others, are all being targetted. I find it sad that someone has that much free time and a desire to prevent young people from discovering these great films.
I agree. I've noticed all these classic films that use to have top ratings now have crappy one's that don't do them justice. Some of the new films as well, its really dumb and annoying, something needs to be done about it cause this is a great movie and it deserves a way better rating.

I just cant believe that a film like this has got such a bad rating.
Everything is perfect. Its just an amazing film and will be played for many years its just in a class of its own. Made me laugh and cry you just cant take your eyes off the screen. 100/10
This is my faveourite movie of all time. It's so sad that you just feel like crying all the way through it. It's truly a great masterpeace by none other than Stephen King. 5/5
