I love the Hitchhiker's Guide books and the old series. It's funny, it's unique - it's the Guide. What more can you say? I was so looking forward to seeing this, I was overjoyed they'd finally got it together and made a film. It could have been utterly brilliant; staggering; amazing; and most of all, funny.
Being a big fan of the original BBC version of Douglas Adams work, I found this to be lacking. There were many parts left out mostly due to the time constrains of being a movie and not a series. If you get a chance, watch the original series for even more laughs. def does not even come remotely close to bieng anywere as good as the books i was so excited when this came out only to be disapointed its still an ok time passer if u read the books watch with low expectations 2 outa 5 stars well the dolphins say so long and thanx for all the fish
only different from the original in the cast and the amount of money spent on effects. this is a masterpiece of sci fi fun, how many spotted the original Marvin standing in line at the Vogon enquiry place? 11/10
Not as good as the original series, but if you haven't seen that and it's new to you, its great. Funny and clever, bit cheesy towards the end but definitely worth a watch 3/5.. The poor crabs..
This movie is not only awesome but incredibly creative. I don't know what kind of experiences the writer (Douglas Adams) has had in life but he is definitely one creative guy. I've read some of the book and it is incredibly detailed and really freaking funny. I give this movie many stars for good watching.
