His latest film covers the death of his best friend Esteban du Plantier (Seymour Cassel) by an animal Zissou describes as a "Jaguar shark". For his next project he is determined to find the creature and destroy it.
very odd movie.. although i enjoyed the colors and the artistic imagery.. it was a little slow, i guess this unpredictably mundane style is what wes anderson was going for.. all i can say is that this is a movie with an imagery that i will never forget.
Absolutely hysterical. There are those of you that just won't get this humor. That's ok. You'll be able to watch things like Mama's house to get your jollies.
..movie ever!! i love this movie..everything about this movie is perfect..the acting, story, casting, art direction..this movie is genius. plus wes puts Indian people on the map so that's just a plus for me :)
If you like Royal Tennenbaums or Darjeeling Limited, check this one out. Probably my favorite Wes Anderson movie. The visuals and effects are beautiful . Long live Bill Murray! 4/5
I enjoyed this movie very much although it was not a typical film I would watch.I recommend this off beat kind of movie to everyone.Step away from the usual and have a look see.
The first half of the movie is kind of boring and long to watch but is necessary to understand the unusual cinematographic style of this movie. By the second half, you get into the movie and it's good. The only thing is that most people will have already streamed another movie (which I almost did) by that time. Overall, the movie was good albeit long.
