I think the messages in the trilogy is clear. That short people need love too, and that they can in fact serve a useful purpose in scocity as long as we all band together and make them do it. And that pippin and mary WAS NOT GAY even though they held hands, stood arm in arm and kissed once in a while is not an indication of fagdom. and the last lesson was that Sam saved every one not Frodo, even though he got all the credit, money, fame and a 5 book deal with Hollywood. LONG LIVE THE KING!
Classic, what can you want more from a movie, fantasy adventure, action, romance and a great storyline. This movie deserves more than simply 5 stars, it deserves our standing ovation. 10/10
Four hours is a long time to sit thru any movie. So unless you have control of the remote with it’s all important “Pause” button, “freshening up” BEFORE watching this movie is highly advised…
Watch The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King
I read the trilogy years ago and fell in love with the Hobbit then. This is the first time I have had the opportunity to see the video. A masterpiece to treasure. 10/10
wow i loved this movie but umm there's something wrong with the ratings on here cause imdb ranks this movie at like 13th out of their 250 top movie list u guys might wana fix that
If you're looking for a cinematic masterpiece, look no further. This entire trilogy is by far the greatest movie I have ever seen. It has been my favorite movie ever since it was first released; and I expect it to remain so. Everything about this film is flawless. Sheer brilliance.
It's amazing and so special. The scenery, the dialogues, messages, actors, music, New Zealand. I love it. It's super inspiring - every time I watch it I learn someting new!
Shelob gives me the creeps no matter how many times I watch this movie. I hate spiders. :)
The ending.. no matter how many times I watch it I cry. You can see the emotion in their eyes of the ending of a long journey come through in their performance... that wasn't acting, but the ending of a true fellowship.
i wanted to put an tag ent cause there r ents there but it was declined
and there r tags like RETREAT, SHOT IN THE HEAD, STABBED IN THE MOUTH, SHOT IN THE FOREHEAD, STABBED IN THE NECK, STABBED IN THE STOMACH, SHOT IN THE SHOULDER, STABBED IN THE LEG ..
LOL
these r tags which r just so meaningful and make so much sense
good work tag accepters
and the movie itself has unique atmosphere, wonderful landscapes and in every scene u can see the budget was more then 10 kk $
no idea why it's rated so low so i'm gona give it 5/5 to lift it up a bit
J.R.R. Tolkien doesn't write anymore. He's been dead since 1973. Lotr is actually a tetralogy (quadrilogy), counting the prequel, which is called The Hobbit. It's about Bilbo (the uncle/cousin), when he was younger. It also has Gollum, Gandolf and Elrond. It's basically the backstory of how Bilbo acquired the ring, and how a seemingly insignificant Hobbit can become very relevant in the grand scheme, when he's given great power. This is not assembly line writing. These stories are Tolkien's life's work. He created an entire alternate Earth, complete with different cultures, pre-established histories and legends, and even invented languages for this. It took him from 1937 to 1954 to complete the first version of the tetralogy. After the first publication, he went back over it and rewrote it. Not completely, just enough revisions to transform it from near perfection to total perfection. To tie it all together. All writers should do it this way. Instead of a bunch of small stupid stories, one perfect legendary epic.
As an aspiring writer, I hope I can someday write a book almost if not good as The Lord Of The Rings. Even though I've never read the books, at least not yet.
This movie was super awesome. Had alot of action and adventure throughout and the characters are very likeable. Great story-line and great acting as well. A great way to end the trilogy.
yes he does..he's old and his time wil come to pass away
he got a ticket for eternal life somewhere else for what he has done in his past
if you read the book you'll understand it better :)
This is my favourite of the trilogy, and my all-time favourite film.
Never before, has 3 and a half hours melted away so quickly.
The fight scenes are amazing, the cinematography at the battle of Minas Tirith is breathtaking on a whole new level, and the acting is simply marvellous.
Such a beautiful ending. This is movie heaven..5/5 stars.
Tolkien would be extremely proud.
A great ending to a great trilogy. The Two Towers is probably my favorite, but this is a close second. I loved the battle sequences. Orlando Bloom did better in this than the other two. Hugo Weaving is becoming one of my favorite actors. I loved this film. 4/4 stars.
