An absolutely charming movie which a five year old girl or a cynical old man can enjoy, and that is hard to achieve. Very funny in places yet also romantic and exciting in equal measure. A sign of a classic movie is how many quotes just role off the tongue which are instantly recognised by others, and this is full of them. To miss out on this movie would be truly inconceivable.
Someone else can have my username after I'm gone, it's sort of a franchise.
They don`t make them like this anymore it has everything a family fantasy needs. 10 out of 10.
I say that but Stardust was great to De Nero was exelent.
Love Love Love this movie. Simple and sweet. In my house we rank movies on our top ten by how much we quote them. In all these years, this one is still on the list.
Total classic. I'd recommend this movie to anyone, of any age group. Hilarious characters, great jokes and a heartwarming story inside a heartwarming story ;). 8/10
This movie is so sweet, and I think that it worked because it had so many likable and distinct characters. I can't decide if the Sicilian (who cracked me up every time) or Phesick (sp?) is my favorite character. Filled with action, humor, and romance, this is a must see for all ages :)
Good clean entertainment for any age group!! Lots of opportunity to deviate and make this an R rated film, but I am glad the makers kept is for the WHOLE family to enjoy. This has a cult-ish following from discussing with peers. Still enjoyed after all these years! 4.5/5
