Pretty cool movie, and the way all the different characters were portrayed was excellent, all pieces fitted well. all the actors did great performances with Gene Hackman, Ben stiller and the Wilson brothers doing a fine job.
Definitely not a movie for everyone. If you don't enjoy slower, quirkier movies, then avoid this one. But if you do like a clever story, good characters, and a star studded cast, then this is a movie for you.
Also if you like this one, check out Rushmore. In my opinion it is superior to Tenenbaums, although I am not discrediting this movie in any way.
If you didn't like this move, don't watch The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, as it is weirder, dryer, and possesses many of the same qualities as Tenenbaums.
Wes Anderson always makes great films. What I especially like about what he does is he creates his own little universe. And he draws you into it and makes you feel apart of it. Everybody in the movie did a great job and I love Alec Baldwin Narrirating. I've added this to my playlist, check it out.
this is one of the greatest movies of our time made by one of the greatest directors of our time. wes anderson cowrote this with owen wilson and directed it himself. Its at times sidesplittingly funny and at times touching and challenging. watch for the small details all through this, or any wes anderson movie. though the cast is loaded with stars, i think gene hackman as royal tenenbaum stands out from the crowd he is one of the most original, memorable, and, despite his MANY shortcomings, somehow most lovable characters in movie history.
RECENTLY SOME MAGAZINE (i cant **ing remember) surveyed directors critics and others in the movie industry asking them who they thought would be the next martin scorsese. martin scorsese himself said it would be wes anderson.
im gonna check all is movies.this was amayzing.the shots and camera angles were all butiful.the story is well develope and the story flows very well.great.watch it and decide on your own but its worth it.
This movie is so funny! I really enjoyed Luke Wilson in this role, way better then others I've seen him in. It has a really great cast and a really great soundtrack. I love Wes Anderson! 5/5
