It is not about how good the acting was or poor budgeting but what you take from it this movie or what you learn from it. I have learnt many things from watching it over and over.All times i learn something new.
I have to say, as most religious films stem from a low budget, this movie truly seems to cut no corners in displaying a vivid illustration of the location, lifestyles, events and individuals when Jesus was on earth.
Anyone who knows Jesus as their personal Savior understands the Book Of John. But if the teachings of the other Gospels are to believed they might be slightly different as well. Most of what was in this movie I learned in Bible School. Those times proved to be important in teachings & values in my life.
thats true not like today kids beating another child and recording it and put after in youtube.. its raelly cruel today and beleive me 2012 is coming ;)
Great reinactment of the greatest man who ever lived, and if the world only followed one commandement he gave us, as to love one another..ohh how better our world would of been. If all of us loved one another.
Great Movie, very realistic, almost biblical. the only thing isn't biblical in this movie are the actors who look like Rockstars. Jesus & his disciples (the males) does not have long hairs for it is written in I Corinthians 11:14 "Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?"
it is what it says it is..a visual Bible. The acting was really good too and I enjoyed the narration. A great movie for Christians and those curious about who Jesus was. 5 Starz
I actually pulled out my bible and followed along, pausing the story to highlight scriptures. I wish there was more movies like this. This was a great teaching tool for me. Amazing, The story was almost word for word from the bible. I use the New International Version. A must see for Christians.
I've seen many different "Jesus" movies, and many are great as entertainment based films. But this one i appreciate for step by step accounts of that particular gospel. Well done, and a great blessing, Thank you!
Watched the film in cinema. This is a good visual guide for those who are too busy to read the bible (if you wanna know what is Christianity, who is Jesus and why was he killed and so on). Sorry if I have sounded rude, cause, I am not a Christian and therefore I have no personal use for the bible. However, I do like to know more about other religions and films like this are helpful. Is there any visual Koran? I guess not.. You can't make movies about what was mentioned in the Koran right? Is it against the Islamic law? Well.. I hope some brave soul does such a film in the near future.
Yes there is a "visual" of the Quran..you should watch "The Message" which stars Anthony Quinn..there are several other movies but aren't in English (like the birth of Isa (Jesus) according to the Quran, etc.).
