Watch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Description :
Decepticon forces return to Earth on a mission to take Sam Witwicky prisoner, after the young hero learns the truth about the ancient origins of the Transformers. Joining the mission to protect humankind is Optimus Prime, who forms an alliance with international armies for a second epic battle
There were a lot of parts that didn't make sense at all. But there was some good action scenes, cgi, and a few laughs. The first one definitely topped it, but it was still a decent flick.
I won't join the aguements - its a good sequel, kept me on egde of seat, not completely predictable and excellent fun - WISH I saw it in the movies instead of on my 17" PC monitor.
I saw this in the theater and of course the special effects was cooler than anything i ever seen before and it had a whole lot of action, but i did think it had alot of unnecessary parts. Not happy about that but it was good though minus the dumb twins, robot humping megan fox's leg, sam's mom nonsense, and sam's roomate was not needed in this movie.
Not as good as the first one was.. I gave up comparing it to the cartoons they cant make years of the toon into a movie.. Take it for what it was a good action movie with great cgi, and the sexy Megan Fox lol.. Bumblebee is the mega bot lol.. The twins are funny as hell.. Rampage was a total joke.. But this movie is good 5/5
good film it was just as good as the first one so to all of u moaning if u didnt like this one u must have not liked the first one so why the hell did u watch it
Because Transfromers was a Great Cartoon That We Actually use to enjoy.Just because a crappy Movie with Horrible Cast was made doesnt mean we are gonna forget about The original Transformers
if ur a 12yr old kid please disregard anything else i say and accept my grown apology lol.
BUT IF YOUR AN ADULT, then you should have the necessary cognitive and reasoning skills to realize that there were SOOOO many LAZY plot holes and TERRIBLE points of writing that it made the story PAINFULLY hard to get into. And these were not plot holes in relation to the comics or cartoon, just LAZY plot holes that NO MOVIE should have. I personally am SUCH A HUGE FAN of the franchise (and the FIRST movie) that i can FORCE myself to look past the dreadful script and enjoy the movie based SOLELY on the fact that there are FREAKIN ROBOTS TRANSFORMING AND BLOWING SH*T UP! LOL. But like i said, that is PRECISELY the problem. Anyone with good sense HAS TO FORCE THEMSELVES to ignore the nearly insurmountable amount of crappy parts of the movie to enjoy it and thats just wrong. The first one was clever, well written, cohesive, funny, action packed, and EVEN MADE LESS SENSE AS FAR AS THE CARTOON GOES, but it was still an incredible film that i can pop in ANYTIME and thoroughly enjoy. If part2 was just some random robot movie and not such a huge part of my adolescense then i wouldve watched it once and burned the evidence. I ONLY watched this one again, because i knew there would be a good dvd version here and i thought id be fair and see if i was right after leaving the theatre at midnight when it came out, and then going back the next day because i didnt want to believe it was really THAT BAD? lol. 3rd time around, months later, its still garbage. Dont think it was coincidence that when i went to the midnight showing of the first one everyone left the theatre going nuts, high fiving, and flipping out. This time we all were shaking our heads and shruggin our shoulders just ready to go to bed. lol. i may even list some of the MANY plot holes just to help the slow kids.
I just PRAY that part 3 will take the franchise more seriously instead of just cranking out some high octane crap in order to cash the check. talkin TO YOU michael bay. u lazy pompous bastard. the fans obviously cherish this franchise and your wrecking it just to cash a check? f**g a**hole. show some respect for the people that pay u douche..US!!
LOL! The movies were based off a cartoon, so to take it from that to this is pretty amazing! Cartoons are suppose to have "lazy plot holes" they don't have to make sense, thats what makes them so fun and entertaining..which is why we go to movies in the first place. So if you don't find explosions and battle's between robots and humans entertaining then just don't watch the movie. Michael Bay has done an excellent job making both these films. I hope he continues to take the helm for any future Transformers sequel. He has a lot of knowledge in the aircraft and military department, he's worked with them quite often which helps make these films even that much better.
Its hard to find but their is a line (among others) that seperate good quality action moies. On one side you have the CGI, and beautifull young girls, that attract people. SO they will love this movie. Then their is us you look beyond that and take everything into consideration. Transformers is one of those movies that if its one TV sure lets watch it. Even some epic movies you wouldnt say that to. The first was thought out a little more but this seemed like they just threw it together. And maybe they spent a great deal of time, but hey it doesnt come through. If Surrogats can do it, Transformers should to. Just clean up the slate.
Guys even Mortal Kombat had less plot holes and the such. Even then does it make it better. Eh personal opinion.
And the dog scene/scenes really? Their is no age group that enjoys watching that. It maybe funny to some but I lost all credibility to Michael Bay for that.
Its the Movie that got the Plot Holes the Cartoon is just fine.I find explosions and battle's between robots entertaining but not with such crappy plot
all i can say is that this movie was a giant let down from the first one. not to give anything away, but there are things in this movie that don't make any sense.
[SPOILER]
why when they see Jetfire in the Smithsonian in Washington dc, and they walk out of the building, they end up in Arizona's plane graveyard? why doesn't that robot girl that seduces Sam not crush him when she's straddling him? how can Sam and his roommate (who does nothing in the movie but annoy) walk from California to Chicago? why does every scene with Megan Fox spin around in an annoying circle? why does Sam go to robot heaven? why was it so easy for Megatron to kill Optimus Prime, when the Fallen (who are so powerful that only a prime can kill them) get there buts handed to them quickly by O.P. that he only needs to upgrade with old parts from Jetfire to defeat them? why did they hide the Sun destroying machine in a pyramid? why after all these 100's of years we never saw the machine inside the pyramid? why did they have to have the little robot hump Megan Fox's leg?(that was completely unnecessary)
I could go on and on and on with this but it hurts my head to think about how ridiculous the movie was. i kind of take offence to the fact that they would put out a movie like this, it makes me feel that Michael Bay obviously doesn't think we are smart enough to pick up on these things. most people are going to disagree with me on this because from the looks of it, most people liked it. i can get through allot of movies and suspend disbelief for the sake of entertainment, but this goes to far. 1/5 the 1 is for the effects that were very good, and the only thing that they spent any time on, cause we know it ain't the story.
movies use different locations to play as the same location all the time. try and name me one movie that didnt. and its a vision not heaven. yes optimus needed an upgrade to do that no way would he have been strong enough.. thus the upgrade. as for wheelie leg humping its a comedy as for everything else TRY not taking a movie about giant transforming robots so seriously. ITS A MOVIE and a great one at that
I will say I tend to agree with you on your points..however I went to the theater to see this movie knowing..it really had nothing to do with acting or even a real plot for that matter..It was more a movie for effect and the eye appeal.
I enjoyed the movie having had those expectations of it. If I had thought it was going to be a brilliant story line and great acting with great cgi to boot I would have been disappointed. Even Megan Fox admitted in an interview that she was terrible in the first and "tried in the second but the movie was not about acting"..That tells a lot that she's going to go admitting that..Sure she's hot..I'm a chick and I have no problems admitting she's hot..but really that's all I've seen she has going for her based on these movies.
I agree with you 100% this was a better movie than the first..but honestly I hated the first to begin with, they added so much perverted crap into what was essentially a kids cartoon and from which I became a fan of. Its funny some of the replies you get "he obviously didnt watch the movie" when you clearly explained a good chunk of it in a paragraph. This is not the Transformers I'd want my kids to become fans of..looks like ill have to go buy the original boxset for em. The movie gets 1/5 for me..being a complete let down and 2 hours + of my life wasted watching it :) And trust me people I'm not being nearly as hard as I could be..I watch all types of movies but when you mess with my morning cartoon shows..ooh the blood boils then
I agree this movie was LAME, 80% of REAL Hollywood critics gave this a thumbs down. This was a cool movie with cool graphics and no soul. The first Transformers was perfect, the script, the character chemistry and the plot was the best sci-fi theory I've ever seen. Though in the sequel the whole time I'm like, uh ..hmm..whatever, crash bang boom, boom boom crash crash ..clap clap clap, man that was an awesome movie. Then 10 minutes later your like 'was that the script that was thrown out for the first one instead?' Like seriously, lets throw in humping dogs and a pot joke with the mom, then we'll rip off the TX chick from terminator 3, give Sam a super annoying co-star, and add in needless swearing and sexual conduct whenever we can. Last but not least lets have the Jordanians army get blown out of the sky so USA can save the day once again. I'm not easily amused and I think all in all this movie blows. I would still recommend watching it in the theater, but to really dig this you have to be a die hard fan.
ok now i need to go what james dean said about this movie ripping off the 3rd terminator movie.. dont comment on something you dont know about the girl in transformers was known as a pretender and there were a few of those back in the transformers universe. so it was always a part of transformers. and once again the pot jokes with the mom and all the humping in the movie were just comedy and were 2 small parts maybe totalling 1 min and a half out of an over 2 hour movie.. get over it.. this movie was great
i read those same questions from somewhere on the internet. did u find it from the yahoo website and just reposted them over on watch-movies-links.net?
first of all this person is entitled to their opinion (so stop telling them to calm down) and second of all i totally agree with it all. the spinning camera thing made me sick and some of the random perverted scenes weren't even necessary. the movie wasn't absolutely awful, it just wasnt as great as everybody said it would be. i give it a 6/10. and for the person who said it wasn't michael bay's fault: of course it's his fault-he directed it! and okay its a bit of the writers fault too :P
it was from yahoo.com under the movie section bibi1982. i'm pretty sure it was from there he got those questions. i just read them like three days ago and was laughing at how the critics were so observant and stupid to comment on such an excellent movie. i could understand if dj_monster didnt like the movie but just dont copy and paste someone else's observance and claim it as your own. that is so plagiorizing. you should be banned for that.
yeh..u do need a hug..
- nd in the movie they didnt actually say its the Arizola PLace graveyarg!,
-The robot dont crush shia/sam because they did info from his brain,
- i dont think they walked..they drove, he does not go to heaven..
-its digital memory he got from the allspark thing to see the robot in 'heaven'
- he also has power from the matrix to kill fallen and megatron.
- they hid the machine in the pyramid because it has a shape like it and
- we are not allowed to break any pyramid by law so we didt see it
- they had the little chihuwa robot to hump megan fox is a comedy thing..i dont think u understand it..
and all the stuff i have said above is made up by me..cant garantee..but it does sort of makes sense
Yeah I agree with you. The only thing good about the movie was the action scenes, which only last about half a minute. Instead of sticking with the cube, they felt the need to use some "Matrix key". The first one was nice and straight forward and follows a certain story..this one's story is intricate to a point where it's annoying. And I was expecting the final fight to be grand and I expected it to be the best part of the movie..I was wrong. However I think the comedy in this movie was improved over the last one.
Dude. Come on. We are the lucky generation to have honestly enjoyed playing with and enjoying the original animated cartoon of the Transformers.
Just let yourself go and watch something that you have wanted to see since you were a kid. Whenever I played with my transformers as a kid 20yrs ago, I didn't have a storyline, or cared how anything came about.
I'm glad you found the inaccuracies of the movie. You make a great point. But society has taught us that people who find imperfections of anything that are insignificant, are considered the 'geeky' and 'no-lifers'.
All you have to do is remove the stick out of your @ss.
since i didnt know this comment was going to make such a fuss, i would like to at least defend my self. even though its probably to late.
1. first of all "sakinaXedwardcullen" i didnt copy and paste any questions from other sites on here, it sounds like i was not the only one that felt this way about the movie. don't be a troll dude no one likes them.
2. weather or not you think this movie is great or horrible is up to you and i respect your opinions. but your not going to force me to like something that i think is absolute crap.
3. "t0od0pe4u" pull the stick out of my a$$? really? no-lifer? geeky- yes, but simply pointing out faults that were obvious, and in your face is just keen observation skills sir. and that was the first time i watched it! i tried again thinking that i would just shut my brain off and let it ride, its not possible. i can not be you.
The 1st one was obvously better but this one packed so much awesome cgi actions. The ending was so awesome. In the beginning I thought this movie would suck but it builded up nicely. I'm glad I finally watched it. Fox didn't look that smokin here, damn!
4/5
There are plenty of people covering the critique this movie should get, so I won't really dig into that, but just say I agree with a lot of the points made here, i.e. about the details.
However.. and this is a big however.. I love the whole Transformers concept, it's an awesome toy (the good old G1 stuff, forget about the remakes), later it turned into some awesome animated series and now finally we're getting to see Transformers in actual action on the big screen! Let me put it like this, I'm so in this for the special effects and CGI and I'm swooning everytime a robot transforms or gets his boogey on. I don't care at all for the human characters and whatever little dramas they got going in between all the action nor the whole thing with the 'geeky but lovable parents', but all what I mentioned above definately makes it a movie worth watching and certainly more than once.
My other point of critique is the same as in the first movie; There's not enough Transformers in it. There's so many awesome, original ones yet we only get to meet and see such a small selection of them. That was the let down for me, and I had hoped they would have introduced some more in this bigger and badder battle of the robots, but other than that, I really enjoyed seeing the robots in disguise again and the CGI easily out-weighed all the annoying human cliches.
This is a brilliant "special effects movie".
I liked the story line and the action scenes were great too!
Indeed as someone else commented before me, some scene jumping raises some questions like how or what..but then again..this does not add up to the fact that this movie had me hooked up from the first moment till the end..
but then again...i'm a a die hard fan...
4/5
This movie was soo good. I loved this one and the first one. Dont think there should be a transformers three coz that will just ruin it but this was definately a 9/10
Let's all cut through the chase. We watched the movie in it's entirity for one reason only, Megan Fox. The only reason we would watch a third, is if she shows some more skin. As for the rest of the movie content, whatever.
