this movie is so slow the first 50 minutes are terrible
ok a movie needs a background story to come to know the characters but jeez it was a bore *yawns*.. then finally after 50 minutes some action but that soon stops as well then finally after 82 minutes the movie finnaly starts..

it sorta falls apart at the end, and is a little slow leading up to the suspense, but when it gets there its worth the wait, dont know about names and backgrounds, of other actors, but woody is great in this, i wish he would make more movies, instead of hanging out in costa rica smoking pot all the time.
I agree with the last comment,, stick with this movie through the first half which is a little boring,, but the movie makes up for it in the second half.
Good twist, nice bit of suspense and a great ending.
I love Woody Harrelson and I liked him in this movie. The wife was annoying and doesn't deserve him. He's like one big ball of happy uplifting energy lol.
I enjoyed this movie a lot! It's one huge study of character and morals, and it built the suspense wonderfully. It was a tense thriller, which may seem slow at times, but keeps you on the tips of your toes.
Any American who has traveled internationally will particularly enjoy this.
It's a thinking person's thriller in realism style.
Puddleducks said he was surprised that the "f" word did not seem to be used! He's thinking about putting it on his "Adults Only" Play list just the same.
Don't listen to the bad reviews. This is an intelligently horrific film, very well played out. The mirror one is left standing with is all I will warn you about. This movie is brilliant.

This is one of those stories where no one is the good guy.
Being so far from home in such a cold, vast and sparsely populated place would induce feelings of agoraphobia as well as isolation. I could feel it during this movie. I am so glad I am sitting in the comfort of my own home.
The cast was great.
Ben Kingsly was amazing as a Russian cop. This movie definitely showed how convincing he can be when playing an unusual role. His accent was very authentic.
Woody Harelson plays a happy go lucky kinda guy who's pretty annoying at times.
Not sure the names of the others but they all did a great job and made this film very watchable.
Action, mystery, suspense, drama. Just what the doctor ordered.

I think people are confusing suspenseful and intense sequences as slow moments just because there's no kung-fu. People you don't need martial arts make a scene exciting. My pulse was up most of the movie. 4/5
Much better than Gran Torino! Really good drama/thriller. Great Story, well thought out plot twist and superbly acted. Slow start but the second half it all unfolds so hang in there. It's well worth it! 4.75 out of 5 stutters
