Certainly a dark comedy. This film really touches on a lot of topics. From how people prioritize things. How flaky people can be, how quickly peoples perception can change. Depression, passive aggressiveness, sexual frustration, public opinion & more. It tackles so many issues. 8/10 It's not a ha ha roll on the floor comedy movie. It's serious subject matter. Check it out if you understand.
I like strange dark comedies and this certainly one of those movies.. Robin Williams takes on another strange role (Similar in craziness to his role in Death to Smoochy). If you like and appreciate Dark Comedy then you will like this.. 4/5..
I think that this is one movie that Robin Williams will be sorry that he ever made. To be part of this kind of movie to live off the death of a loved one is the lowest form of life.
this is not a comedy its about a parent losing a child and how he wants to immortalize his child but in the end he realizes the only one who needs to immortalize his son is himself was really good movie 5/5
It is actually a comedy, for the most part. It's not so much about immortalizing his son but about not wanting to be embarrassed by how his son died. In the end he realized it was going to far and decided he didn't care anymore.
this movie was NOT for me did not like it, robin williams made a horrible choice with this in my opinion. sad and stupid but watch and see forself if you don't trust me..2/5
This is not a "comedy" so if you are looking for a laugh don't bother.
But if you are looking for a good movie you should watch it. It's different for the normal Hollywood type movies.. And I really enjoyed it and most definitely didn't find it depressing - quite the contrary actually.
I got the message of this film but i just didnt understand it. This is definatly not a comedy i would put it under drama, No funny parts to be honest i smiled once i thought it was more depressing then anything.
Robin Williams acting was brilliant really played the role perfect & it was a great movie 4/5 worth the watch just dont expect it to be too funny.
This movie was not for me. Robin Williams is a great actor as always but i just didn't really like the movie. This movie had its moments but was nothing special
You are right, I didn't find anything funny about it. And it is sad how the lead character cared more about people appreciating his writing than his own son.
First half was good and funny..the second hald just seemed to be filled with filler to take up time..my fav comment fits this movie well " This Movie would have been much better cut down to 45 min
5~10 with out williams it would have been much lower

Wow, so many turns lost my way more than once. Not what you would call a feel good movie, very very dark. I guess it is good that I watched it. Hope it does not mean Robin is going to be all over the adult sites.
Well the first half of it was extremely funny, enough that when you laughed you cried but after that it did a total 180 and was sad as hell. Was good but it's not all laughs as what it first appears to be.. 8/10
