i seriously loved this movie it was amazing one of the best comedys of the year i loved it because it just totally makes fun of the catholic faith 10/10
A great number of talented people were involved with this film: writer/director Harold Ramis (Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day), co-writers Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg (The Office), lead actors Jack Black and Michael Cera, supporting actors David Cross and Oliver Platt, and cameo actors Paul Rudd, Bill Hader, and Kyle Gass, just to name a few. And it was produced by Judd Apatow. And yet it goes so terribly wrong. How? You have to go to the source: the script, which is aimless, disjointed, and sadly puerile.
Twenty times longer than its (excellent) trailer, and with about the same number of decent jokes, this underachieving effort boasts another brilliant Michael Cera performance, plus Jack Black licking a turd. Or is he polishing it?
This was one of the funniest movies I have seen in a while. It's surely gonna be one of my favorites forever. So many great laughs in this one, Micheal Cera a bit funnier then Jack Black but both are still great. I may have been high every time I've seen it but I still know it's freaking hilarious. Anyone that says otherwise can meet me outside.
i despise jack black but love michael cera so this was a catch 22 for me. lol. great movie though. very funny. gotta love mike as the pitiful sidekick with his dry smug humor. and the funny script. plus A TON of nice cameos.
This movie is funny as hell. The only thing that dissappointed me was that there were no jokes about Jesus. I mean thats the most closest era to jesus, in the movie. So many jokes, both loudly humorous and the silent ones too(from the other small skinny guy) & hey! there was that whitenNerdy kid too. But I didnt find that kid funny(a bit annoying, even in that movie:Role Models)
Anyway this movie is full of laughs and fun. I rated full 5 stars so thats AWESOME!
It was funny. I was surprised though that I laughed more at Micheal Sera's (What's his name ?) jokes than Jack Black's. I find JB usualy Really funny. I like Tenacious D as well so bonus.
